Deliverables
Full wraparound cover (front, back, spine) — print-ready at KDP specs, plus a digital edition cover.
The solution was a continuous landscape illustration spanning the full wraparound cover — moving through a cityscape, mountain range, and dense forest, all unified by a glowing infinity symbol motif that serves as both compositional anchor and thematic symbol.
Jake Brown approached me to design the cover for his independently published novel, Reincarnation. The brief called for an illustration that captured the book's themes of transition between lives and worlds — something visually expansive that could hold a reader's attention on a shelf or thumbnail.
A cosmic landscape spanning worlds — designed for an independently published novel.
About the Project
All illustration work was completed in Procreate and refined in Photoshop, with final layout and spine typesetting done in InDesign to KDP print specifications.

The full cover was designed as a single continuous illustration across front, spine, and back — creating a panoramic world the reader can explore before opening the book.
The Wraparound Cover
Final Design
Design decision: The infinity motif glows at the center of the front cover, transitioning from warm city light on the left to cool forest dark on the right — mirroring the book's narrative arc of transformation across lives and environments.
Design decision: The cover is structured around four quadrants, each representing one of the protagonist's reincarnated worlds — cosmic, urban, forest, and water. The environments bleed into one another with no hard edges, and the infinity symbol at the center anchors all four simultaneously, making the cover itself a visual metaphor for the novel's themes of continuity and connection.

Early concept sketches explored different compositions before settling on the continuous landscape approach.
